Scotty Wilson

Events Director & Partner, Kite Jam (BVI) Ltd Stephen Wilson, a.k.a. Scotty, has been with the BVI Kite Jam team since its inception. In addition to being Kite Jam’s Events Director & Partner, Scotty has been heading up Logistics and Watersports at Sir Richard Branson’s Necker Island, Virgin Limited Edition since 2006.
Hailing from the U.K., Scotty has always had a passion for extreme sports especially in the water. He comes from a windsurfing and wakeboarding background but soon tried kite boarding about three years ago and has never looked back. His past experience includes managing Watersport Centres for Mark Warner Holidays in the Mediterranean from 2001-2004, and was Chief Instructor at Datchet Watersports from 2004-2006.
Scotty is trained and certified in multiple watersports and boating instructing. He is a certified International Kiteboarding Organization (IKO) instructor, a RYA Windsurfing, Wakeboarding/Waterskiing Instructor, a RYA Senior sailing instructor with both advanced and multi-hull endorsed, and a RYA Power boat instructor, Safety boat endorsed.
He is thrilled to be a part of BVI Kite Jam 2010. He wants to share his knowledge of kite boarding and introduce the BVI’s as one of the world’s best un-touched kiting locations with its beautiful white sandy beaches and turquoise waters.
